Our Commitment

Core Layer Development LLC is committed to making SousSight accessible to the widest possible audience, including people with visual, hearing, motor, and cognitive disabilities. We believe great cooking tools should be usable by everyone.

Conformance Standards

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and follow applicable accessibility laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act where relevant.

This website and the SousSight applications are continuously evolving, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing effort rather than a one-time achievement.

Accessibility in the iOS App

• Cooking Mode can speak each step aloud, with a button to repeat the current step.
• The cooking display uses a high-contrast design.
• The app provides haptic (vibration) feedback for key actions.
• Key controls in Cooking Mode carry VoiceOver labels.

Website Accessibility Features

• Semantic headings and page structure for screen reader navigation.
• Text alternatives for meaningful images and icons.
• Color contrast that meets WCAG AA thresholds.
• Full keyboard navigability for menus, forms, and interactive elements.
• Visible focus indicators and clear form labels and error messages.
• Responsive layouts that support browser zoom up to 200% and text resizing.

Known Limitations

Some third-party content and integrations — such as grocery retailers and embedded media — may not fully meet our accessibility standards. We work with our partners to improve these experiences but cannot guarantee their conformance.
